Forest Bathing
To forest bathe
is to listen for
bark patterns
and leaf shapes
to speak of stability
and cycles –
the slipstream of geese
in migration --
the count of hatchlings
in murmuration –
To observe endings
but mostly beginnings –
To watch an owl sun
in the center of calm –
And the faint halo
of spring blooming
from every tree.
