Prelude
Landing in Charlotte
Instead,
as we bank
just before dawn,
the full moon gleams--
iridescent as mother of pearl.
An assertion of sky
I didn't know
I needed.
Landing in Bozeman
I wondered if we would
see any bears or wolves --
Or simply re-learn
their impression
on the imagination...
