"A Day in the Life"
(Rocky Mountain National Park)
Clear cold fresh air
I've been waiting
all my life to breathe --
Conifers royal,
still dewy with silver,
crowning lakes
of glacial depth;
tiny wildflowers
springing from stones.
Clouds just born,
chasing their potential
across impassive
mountain faces --
Bass profundo
mountain thunder,
and rain that bounces.
Great darkness --
and brilliant burning light.
