For GUS (Great Spirit of the Universe)

Lift up your eyes on high and see:
    who created these?
He who brings out their host by number,
    calling them all by name;
by the greatness of his might
    and because he is strong in power,
    not one is missing.

Thank you lord
that there is not one star 
        missing
in the ten billion trillion visible.
That as our acuity improves
our wonder grows -- 
supplanting fear. 
The spinning spiral trail 
of our own Milky Way 
more vibrant --
more within reach -- 
for the dark.
