Summer Haiku
June morning
clouds spinning sunshine –
fluttering like
leaves to grass
birds in courtship
mid-afternoon --
porch lights flicker on-
summer storm
the river disappears
behind a gauzy curtain—
Rain, Act 2
sunset colors smell
fresh from the rain –
wind bends and folds
a buttercup for safekeeping
