Celebrant
Don't berate me
with my unworthiness--
blamed for the sins
of fathers, blamed
for being as I was
created.
I will not be decreased
or diminished --
Instead I celebrate
the entire package,
denigrated things
included -- like flesh,
heart and ego.
Let me celebrate
my similitude to
all creatures,
also my brothers
and sisters,
and the never-static
earth we share.
Let me feed the
comets and moons
pulsating in my blood,
the great skyway
filling my bones.
Let me dance my
terra-blue identity
in the undulation of
earth's magnetic waves –
because there is
far too much to love
in this world –
and I find my freedom
in a creator whose
only narrow gate
is mutual confession –
and desire for more.
Because it is only
in dilation
that I have
something to give.

Sometimes I forget how fragile is life and how immense is God’s desire for us to live it full. Thanks
